New Scouts

Ten Essentials

All Scouts should bring their ten essentials to every trip. Use of a pocketknife requires a Totin’ Chip, and use of matches or other firestarters requires Firem’n Chit.

Scout Uniform and Handbook

Our troops ask that Scouts have the following parts of their uniform to be considered fully uniformed. A lot of gently used uniform pieces are available - please ask!

  • Scout pants, shorts or skort

  • Scout socks and belt

  • Uniform shirt

    • Council Service Patch

    • World Crest

As part of your dues, the troop will provide the following:

  • Activity t-shirt

  • Troop hat

  • Troop neckerchief and slide

  • Unit numerals

  • Scouts BSA Epaulettes

  • Scouts BSA Handbook
