Angel Island Camping

The Troops went camping over Labor Day weekend to Angel Island SP, in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. Starting by taking BART from Castro Valley to San Francisco, they then got on the ferry for the quick ride across the bay.

Angel Island history goes back thousands of years as a seasonal hunting area for the local Coast Miwok, a military installation and in the early 20th century as an immigration station for hundreds of thousands of immigrants, many from Asia.
